Amidst all the Xperia Z6 rumors, it seems that the Sony Xperia Z5 has lost a limelight already with the focus slowly shifting to its rumored successor. Nevertheless, the phone hasn’t been in the market for long and those who have been using the phone are waiting for the latest Android update. Well, a new leak suggests that the Z5 will be getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow soon.
A popular leakster @Ricciolo1 has tweeted that the Xperia Z5 series will be updated to Marshmallow next month, and older Xperia phones will get the update later after that. This is a pretty exciting news for all the Z5 users, as Android 6.0 brings massive improvements, optimisations, and features over Android Lollipop. Performance boosts and battery life improvements are some of the most prominent changes.
It’s good to know that Sony isn’t neglecting its older devices and keeps on providing updates for previous Xperia flagships. The Xperia Z also was updated to Lollipop 5.1.1, but we don’t know if it will get the Marshmallow update. Let’s wait for the update to be rolled out officially.
