Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 is one of the three latest product launched by Xiaomi, other two being the Redmi Note 3 and Air Purifier 2. The Mi Pad 2 is available with Windows 10 OS as well as the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.
The variant running Android OS is now listed on Antutu’s benchmark database with an impressive score of 85,101. The only devices which stand undefeated from Mi Pad 2 include Huawei Mate 8 scoring 92,746 and the Meizu Pro 5 scoring 85,652.
Xiaomi’s Mi Pad 2 is equipped with a 7.9 inch IPS LCD display at 2048 x 1536 pixels, and houses a quad-core Intel Atom X5-Z8500 processor clocked at 2.24 GHz with Intel HD Graphics. The Mi Pad 2 comes with 2 GB RAM and 16GB or 64GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB using microSD card slot. It sports an 8 MP rear camera along with 5 MP front camera. The Mi Pad 2 is powered by a hefty 6190 mAh Li-Polymer battery and supports fast charge. The device also features a USB Type-c port with reversible connector.
Reportedly, owing to Intel’s high performance hardware that the Mi Pad 2 comes with, high end graphics intensive games like League of Legends and Counter Strike Go run flawlessly on the device. The gameplays were posted on micro-blogging site Weibo by a user. The 2 GB RAM factor doesn’t seem to affect the overall performance of the device.
Priced at 999 Yuan ($156 approx.) as compared to the Huawei Mate 8 ($519 approx. for 3GB/32GB model), the Mi Pad 2 would surely be a first choice for mobile gamers looking for high end device at less bucks.
