The Galaxy A9 has undoubtedly been through vast rumors time to time. Firstly regarding its existence from the trademark appearance where it was code-named SM-G890A and then the recently leaked specifications.
But now the Korean giant’s Iran website officially confirms the arrival of the Galaxy A9. The device will be launched on December 1st as listed on the same website.
The currently announced specifications match those mentioned in the leaks. The A9 sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED 401ppi display with a resolution of 1080p. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 620 SoC comprising 4 Next-Gen Cortex A72 Cores in conjunction with 4 Cortex-A53 ones and the all new Adreno 510 GPU. The device packs 3GB of RAM with 32 GB internal storage which can be expanded upto 128 GB using microSD card slot.
The A9 has a 16MP autofocus Camera lens on the rear side, and a 5MP front-facing shooter.
Connectivity options are impressive and include GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, NFC, LTE, and Wi-Fi. The A9 will have Android 5.1.1 out of the box. Offering a premium build, it has a metal body design.
