It looks like Samsung is very keen on revamping some of the older smartphones from its A-series. But this time, the focus will be more on looks and design rather than performance. We had told you about the upcoming Galaxy A3 and A5 2015 Editions and how they carried newly designed bodies. However, thanks to a new report from China, it seems that the new Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 will come in 2016, so the phones have been tagged as “2016 Edition”.
The new information comes with new photos too. As you can see in the newly leaked pictures, the Galaxy A5 and A7 look gorgeous than before in the new glassy avatar (it might also be a metal+glass frame). The rear camera with LED flash has been placed in the upper-middle part of the back cover, while the speaker grill is expected to be located at the bottom as seen in the previously leaked pictures of the new A5.
According to the new information, the 2016 Edition Galaxy A5 and A7 will come with 2.5D screens. The new A5 (2016) will get a 5.2-inch FullHD display, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP+5MP cameras, and an octa core Exynos chipset (probably the Exynos 7) clocked at 1.6GHz. Meanwhile, the new Galaxy A7 (2016) will flaunt a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 615 SoC, 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, and 13MP+5MP cameras.
Though the release dates for these revamped A-series phones are not known yet, we expect the phone to come out in Q1 of 2016. With better design and slightly better displays, the new Galaxy A5 and A7 should sell like hot cakes. Any takers?
