It’s been a good year for ZTE. The Chinese company has released quite the appealing handsets, and the best ones belong in its Axon and Nubia lines. ZTE Nubia Z9 was announced earlier this year, without bezels on its side. The Axon devices are stronger in terms of design and audio. The company also sells Blade handsets, considered to be the company’s mid-range devices. The ZTE Blade S7 has made its appearance here and there, but this one is final: it is now official.
The OEM released Blade S7 in China, and it features the following specs: a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) LTPS display (445 PPI, 2.5D curved display, Gorilla Glass 3) with 178-degree viewing angles. The device also carries 3GB of DDR3 RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor along with an Adreno 405 GPU powers the handset.
The Blade S7 has two 13MP cameras, a front, and a rear one. The latter carries a Laser Autofocus, and both of the shooters have an LED flash. There are several shooting models incorporated in ZTE’s software, as always. It comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop pre-installed with ZTE’s MiFavor 3.2 UI on top. The phone is 7.2mm thick, and it is 67mm wide. Notably, the phone has a physical home button with a fingerprint scanner incorporated.
”We are delighted to confirm the availability of the ZTE Blade S7, a device packed with a range of fun and innovative features. ZTE is constantly listening to its customers and we wanted to deliver a device that takes the selfie experience to a new level,” stated Jacky Zhang, CEO of Asia Pacific, ZTE Mobile Devices.
As to color availability, the ZTE Blade S7 will come in Lemon Green, Rose Gold, Diamond White and Space Gray color options. It seems that the phone will be first out for purchase in Thailand, followed by other Asia-Pacific markets.
