It’s been a year since Samsung announced its focus on premium design – the Galaxy A3 (SM-A300) and A5 (SM-A500)but apparently their successors are going to leave us speechless, or so they say. We don’t know whether today’s leak was meant to flaunt their upcoming release or not, but it is supposedly of the Galaxy A3 (SM-A310) and A5 (SM-A510) 2015 edition themselves.

The differences are not only spotted in the design (for example, the speaker grill is at the bottom, and the camera/LED flash shape and positioning are different too), but the new A3 and A5 will feature a different kind of material for their back covers, instead of the matte their predecessors wore. It actually looks more like a glass rather than metal, but it’s still something refreshing for the A-series.

It doesn’t seem like the devices will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, they’ll be on Android 5.1.1 more likely. And it also seems that they might have a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home key that would supposedly support Samsung Pay.

We can only speculate on the specs based on the info found in the GFXBench database: a 4.7″ HD display on the Galaxy A3, running Exynos 7580, with a quad-core 1.5GHz CPU and the Mali-T720 GPU. The A3 might have 1.5 GB of RAM, paired with 16 GB of internal storage, a 13MP camera and a 5MP front one. On the other hand, the Galaxy A5 might come with a 5.2″ 1080p screen, Exynos 7 Octa at 1.6 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, plus the same set of cameras as A3.
