Elephone, a lesser-known Chinese smartphone maker, is trying to expand its reach to the global market with affordable high-end phones. And the company’s next flagship, called the Elephone P9000, is going to be launched soon. What comes as an appreciable news is that unlike most of the smaller China-based smartphone companies, Elephone has officially confirmed that the P9000 will work with the 4G LTE bands in Canada and the U.S.

Fortunately, those looking for a nice budget smartphone and don’t care about the bigger brands can buy the Elephone P9000. And if you’re from North America, then you don’t have to worry about 4G connectivity too.

Coming to the hardware details, the Elephone P9000 gets 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920 display and runs on a Helio P10 SoC. There’s a good 4GB of RAM inside the phone, which also features a USB Type-C port. The phone will be sporting an excellent 21MP camera at the rear. No more details are known, but these specifications hint at the possibility of the phone being a flagship-killer like Xiaomi and OnePlus.

About the launch date, there were rumors in the summer that the P9000 would be coming out in the fourth quarter. Well, 2015 is still not over and the phone can get a launch any time soon. More details about the phone are expected soon. So stick with us if the Elephone P9000 interests you!
