In the past week, Sony began the roll-out of its Android 6.0 Marshmallow concept build to the selected 10,000 Xperia Z3 and Z3 compact owners. A new report just confirmed that the concept update is now available in the form of an over-the-air update.

The Marshmallow beta update is carrying a build number MRA58K.Z1.2085 and brings several new features, including support for MIDI via USB as well as more bitrates for flac audio content, Tap to wake, and an updated keyboard. The OTA is rolling-out slowly, so it is quite obvious that it may take a few days to reach your smartphone.

For those who are not aware, the Android Marshmallow beta update is currently available in select European countries only. The list includes Norway, Latvia, United Kingdom, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Lithuania, Iceland, Ireland, Estonia, and Germany.

If you are one of those lucky Xperia Z3 / Z3 compact users and has already received an OTA update, do not forget to share your experience with us.
