A lot of new Chinese smartphone makers are trying to enter the international market with high-end affordable phones. Many of those OEMs like Xiaomi have already managed to gather a great fan base, while newer brands like OUKITEL are fast arriving into the limelight. One such brand is LeTV, a company that started as an online video provider and soon got into smartphone-making. The company had earlier launched the Le 1, Le 1 Pro and Le Max in China, and these devices claimed to be the first smartphones to get USB Type-C.
Well, the company has launched another great smartphone today called the LeTV Le 1S. The phone includes all the latest features offered by top-of-the-line smartphones these days, including dual SIM slots, 4G LTE connectivity, USB Type-C, IR Blaster, and a rear-placed fingerprint sensor treated with a mirror-like finish. Talking about the last feature, LeTV claims that this is the fastest fingerprint sensor, though the company hasn’t provided any details about the print registration time. The LeTV Le 1S gets a shiny all-metal body and looks quite premium. It has got a 5.5-inch Full HD display, and the phone draws its power from an octa-core Helio x10 Turbo processor. The phone also boasts of 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage.
The LeTV Le 1S gets a 13MP camera at the back which has a fast auto-focus with 0.09 seconds of focusing time. The phone gets its juice from a 3,000mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 with LeTV’s EUI on top. In case you use LeTV’s online video streaming services, then this phone is a must buy for you as those services have been closely integrated inside the Le 1S. The phone costs 1,099 RMB (approx. $172) and will only be available in China as of now, with plans of expanding to US and India soon.
