By ethical, the company intended on paying fair wages to the workers and using metal that was not collected by under-age labourers or was not used for financing an illegal army. All the ethical ways of manufacturing the Fairphone have gone into the making of the Fairphone 2 also, but the manufacturer has made sure that this new phone can be easily disassembled for replacing a parts, a quality which desktops are lucky to boast of. Well, this will help in case one part of the phone needs to be replaced; at least it will save you the expense of buying an entirely new phone. The idea is great, but it does not come cheap. Priced at $583 (€525), the Fairphone 2 gets decent specs like 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, an 8MP rear shooter, and a 5-inch 1080p display. Though the features are nothing new to be excited about, the company claims that the phone has the capability to last up to 5 years.

As of now, the Fairphone 2 will see a release only in select European countries. Mass production starts next month, and the phone is expected to start shipping in December. About 20,000 units of this new phone have already been pre-ordered, so if this phone looks interesting to you, you can book it to through the official Fairphone website.
