Last week, it was reported that the Huawei Mate S, which was announced last month at IFA, will be released in Malaysia on October 22nd. However, a new report suggests that phone will be launched a week later on October 27 instead of October 22nd.
For those who are not aware, the Huawei Mate S is the first smartphone which goes official with Force Touch display, however it is available only with the top-model which comes in 128GB internal storage. Sadly, this particular model will not be available in Malaysia anytime soon, according to SoyaCincau.
In terms of specs, the Mate S comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD screen and is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 935 SoC with dual quad-core processor throbbing at 2.2GHz. 3GB RAM is inside along with 32/64/128GB internal storage options. It has 13MP rear and an 8MP front-facing camera setup.
Running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with EMUI3.1 on top, the Huawei Mate S features a 2700mAh battery, NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi, and FM Radio.
The pricing details are not confirmed yet, however previous reports suggest that phone might carry a price tag of RM2,698 (approx. $635). We will report the official details on launch date i.e. October 27th, so stay tuned.
