Microsoft plans to launch its Windows-10 powered Lumia 950 and 950 XL flagship smartphones in India towards the end of this year. This is a terrific piece of news for the Indian fans and the excitement just gets bigger.
The high-end Windows 10 powered gizmos were launched on Tuesday after a lot of speculations and it was a great event by Microsoft. Both the flagships devices (Lumia 950 and 950 XL) are expected to be out in November this year. There is of course not much news about the launch of the budget device Lumia 550. It is though expected to arrive in December.
Shortly after the event the company had listed both the devices as “coming soon” on its Microsoft India website.
The Microsoft Lumia 950 has been priced at $549 (roughly Rs 35,800) while the Lumia 950 XL comes at $649 (Rs 42,300). We can expect the Indian pricing for the dual-SIM variants to remain around these prices.
The Lumia dual-SIM models come with identical specifications as their single sim variants. The only addition lies in the extra SIM slot. The devices however, pack a number of extraordinary Windows 10 features like Cortana, Microsoft Office, and the Windows Store among others.
With exceptional battery life and high-end camera specifications as in with autofocus, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and triple LED Flash module make the device far ahead of others.
