There is some wonderful news coming in for those sporting the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Samsung Galaxy Edge phones. In a recent report on AndroidCentral, it was reported that those on the AT&T platform will get their phones revised with the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 via an OTA update.

This is surely going to be a good leap for the S6 users. The size of the update is being weighed at 660MB and has many changes coming into the device. The icons that were a part of the interface undergo a change and look similar to the ones employed in Samsung Galaxy Note5. Apart from the change in the UI, there is also the introduction of the Samsung Pay. Unlike Apple Pay and Android Pay, Samsung Pay works with both NFC and Magnetic secure transmission. This helps the service to connect to 90% of retailers globally.Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, updateAs of now the update comes a bit stumbled and clumsy. It will take a while to be stable and make inroads to all Samsung devices.

Just a matter of time before the notification pops up on your device and you should be good to go. Now if someone wants to perform a manual update they can go to Settings > About Device> Software update and perform the operation.

There is something to be kept in mind during the update. The Wi-Fi connection needs to be proper without any hindrances, because any obstruction during the process can cause the device to go haywire causing additional problems. It also consumes at least 50% of the battery during the update.
