The amount of storage space a smartphone user needs depends on personal choice and need. However, looking at the high-quality videos, photos, and music most of us tend to save in our phones, getting restricted to only 16GB of space can be irritating at times.

However, this is what most of the smartphone manufactures offer in their flagship devices, though the scenario is now changing slowly. The Nexus 6 (2014) has 32GB and 64GB variants, while many other high-end smartphone releases of this year begin at 32GB. According to a report by Android Police,  the upcoming Huawei Nexus will be available in three variants with different storage options – 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB!

If the report is true, then Huawei will become the first Nexus-maker to offer a Nexus phone with such a high storage capacity. We presume that the Huawei Nexus will skip the MicroSD slot. As for the pricing, it is expected that each variant will be priced $50-100 apart. Meanwhile, no news has come out regarding the LG Nexus 5, but we believe it will skip expandable storage too and offer disappointingly small 16GB and 32GB variants.

Invitations for a September 29 event in San Francisco have been issued by Google, and we assume it is for unveiling the Nexus devices. Both the smartphones are expected to come unlocked with support for various carriers and carrier sales are expected to be secondary.
