Meizu surely knows how to be in the news and a lot of rumors have flown around its upcoming flagship, the Meizu Pro 5. Recently, a couple of photos of the upcoming phone leaked over the net.
One of the things which makes Meizu special, is its ‘Meizu Shape’. Even in these leaked images, it can be seen that the shape of the phone is similar to the current Meizu MX5. Another thing is the Flyme UI they use on top of Android, but the images show that Meizu Pro 5 is running stock Android. However, it doesn’t mean that the company is planning on launching a pure Android experience with the new flagship; this is most probably just an early prototype.
The leaked images from Weibo might also be those of the Meizu MX5, judging from the large camera lens, the alloy design and the LED Flash/Laser Focus.
According to earlier reports, the Meizu Pro 5 will be a 5.7-inch phone with a 1080 x 1980 resolution display. It will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 7420 chipset and will sport 4GB of RAM. It is expected to have a 21MP primary camera and a 5MP front shooter.
You can check out the images below. Needless to say, they come from an unofficial source, so it is wise to take them with a grain of salt until the official announcement on September 23.
