Asus Padfone S, which is now an year old, might be getting its successor in H1 2016. According to Leaksfly, Asus is making Padfone S2 powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset, and will release the device by March 2016.
According to leaked specs, the 2nd Gen PadFone S smartphone will sport a 5.5-inch 2K display. Powered by a 3,060mAh battery, it will feature 4GB of RAM, 32GB / 64GB internal storage, a 20.7 megapixel rear camera, and an 8 megapixel front shooter.
The Padfone tablet dock will come with a 10-inch display and a 5,100mAh battery.
Earlier this week, a popular tipster @evleaks (Evan Blass) reported that Nexus 2015 made by Huawei will be powered by S820, but a Chinese analyst Pan Jiutang on Weibo has refuted the disclosure made by Evan, and said that devices powered by S820 will not be released before March 2016. Given to the statement of Analyst, it seems legit that Padfone S2 might be released with the upcoming Qualcomm flagship chipset.
