While the fans would celebrate about the unexpected happening with Mi4, the current news might add up to their joy. A company official has recently confirmed that Xiaomi is near about ready to bump the Android v6.0 Marshmallow onto the year old Mi4 as well as the recent Mi Note devices.

The news came up on Weibo, along with the picture showing Mi4 in its new Marshmallow form. Xiaomi will soon release a closed beta version of Android M for Mi4 modded with the MiUi7. This is surely going to help users stuck happily to their Mi4 and lease out the devices further.

Reportedly, Xiaomi will launch its next flagship, the successor to Mi4, the Mi5 possibly in February 2015 and is hoped to be ‘worth a wait’ as teased by company’s CEO Lei Jun.
