Since the official launch of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, a lot of smartphones have officially got the update, while other phones in the list are still to get an official announcement for the update. Moto X Pure Edition (aka Moto X Style internationally) is the phone that is expected to get the Marshmallow update soon, and it seems that the update will not take too long to get public.
The good news is that Motorola has started the Marshmallow soak test for the third-generation Moto X Pure Edition in the United States. The announcement was done on Google+ by David Schuster, Senior Director of Software Product Management at Motorola. According to Schuster, the progress of the test will be monitored for the next week, and if the test goes in the right direction as expected, a full launch will follow soon. Therefore, it would be safe to guess that the update will be launched for the public officially after a week or so.
Last month, some Moto X Pure Edition users had reportedly received the Marshmallow update, thus spreading rumors that the soak test was started. However, the rumor was rubbished by Motorola saying that it was only a test drive.
