Xiaomi has launched its 10000mAh Mi Power Bank Pro in China at a price of CNY 149 (approx. Rs.1,500). The highlight of this power bank is, however, is the inclusion of Micro USB Type-C adapter and the two-way fast charging technology.

Like its predecessors, the Mi Power Bank Pro also features a full aluminium body which gives it a very premium look and feels. The power bank sports other important features like protection from short circuit, output overcurrent, temperature, input overload and reset protection. Apart from that, it also has a nine layered circuit protection developed by the Texas Instruments for preventing the device from any damage.

The Mi Power Bank Pro comes with a cable which has a Micro-USB connector on one end and the USB Type-A connector on the other. The most interesting feature of this device is the two-way fast charging and a Micro-USB Type-C adapter which is missing in most of the power banks out there in the market. The device can generate output from a Type-A connector and can be charged with a Type-C connector.

It operates on 12V 1.5A, 9V 2A, or 5V 2A configurations as per the choice of the users and can charge a host of devices including smartphones, Bluetooth headsets and speakers, fitness bands, etc.

The company said at its official forum, “10,000 Mi Power Bank Pro does support USB Type-C charging and you may charge up your Mi 5 and MacBook.”

The Mi Power Bank Pro weighs 223 grams and has a dimension of 128.5x75x12.6mm. It is 42% slimmer than its predecessors and can be charged fully from 0 to 100 percent in about 1 hour and 50 minutes. Xiaomi claims that it can charge the iPhone 6 around four times, Mi Note for 2.5 times and the iPad Mini for 1.5 times.

Xiaomi also launched the Xiaomi Mi Box 3 Enhanced Edition which is an upgraded version of the Mi Box 3. It is said to have processing speed about 80% faster than its predecessor and has a more efficient cooling system. The Xiaomi Mi Box 3 supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2×2 which delivers speeds up to 300Mbps. It also features Bluetooth v4.1 and is priced at CNY 399 (approx. Rs. 4,100).
