#5: Deep Down

At this point, it could might as well be vaporware, but hope still remains that Capcom’s take on Dark Souls sees the light of day. Deep Down was revealed all the way back in 2013, alongside the PlayStation, where Capcom revealed their Panta Rhei engine, of which Deep Down was going to be flagship game.

In this so-far mysterious single-player role-playing game, players take on enemies in randomly generated dungeons alongside 4 co-op partners. The game is set in a New York of 2094, where touching magical artifacts takes you way back into the past to fight monsters and find other artifacts that correspond on emotions.

It’s been 3 years now since the game was announced, so here’s hoping we’ll hear something about it at this year’s E3. Hey, after The Last Guardian showing up at last year’s E3, we know that miracles do indeed happen.
