#8: Rime
Spanish developer Tequila Works makes the leap from Xbox Live Arcade to a full-fledged title for the PlayStation 4, titled Rime. Revealed back at Gamescom in 2013, Rime has a young boy with a red cape explore an island that he is trying to escape, while getting rid of a curse. The game looks remarkably like PS2 classic Ico, and might be in the running alongside The Last Guardian in the “Looks Most Like Ico” contest.
Rime features music by Akira Yamaoka, composer for the Silent Hill series. Details on gameplay are scant, but the game will be played in the third-person perspective and feature puzzles, because why the heck not.
No release date has been announced for Rime, which is concerning, considering it’s been two and a half years since the title was announced. Hopefully the game will show up at Sony’s E3 presentation this year, and it’ll come wearing a release date.
