Finally, the Meizu Blue Charm Metal has been taken out of its covers and unveiled to the public. The exclusive metal design with high-end specs make this phone one of the most affordable premium smartphones in the market. For just a price of less than $200, you get MediaTek’s Helio X10 chip, a large battery, 5.5-inch screen, and a fingerprint scanner.
If you are already excited about this phone, then do remember that it will be sold only in China as of now and can be bought from online retailers. Having said that, the Meizu Blue Charm Metal is an unbelievable phone with unbelievable features at a really unexpected price point. The Blue Charm Metal will directly compete with Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 2.
Talking about the specs, the Meizu Blue Charm Metal gets a 5.5-inch LTPS LTC Full HD display and is run by an octa-core Helio X10 Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 2 GHz. There’s 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM inside the phone along with 16GB/32GB of internal expandable memory. Keeping the phone running is a 3140mAh battery, while the photography needs are seen to by a nice 13MP f/2.2 lens at the rear and a 5MP f/2.0 lens at the front. There’s also a fast fingerprint recognition sensor in the phone for added security. The Meizu Blue Charm Metal will be available in pink, blue, grey, gold, and white color schemes.
If you want to buy this Meizu phone, please note that it is on pre-order in China. If you live outside China, you can get the phone by paying a slightly increased price to third-party online sellers. The Blue Charm Metal will be release on 2nd November and the phone will go on sale in the Lynx Mall in China and also at the Meizu store. Another variant of the phone will come out in December and will carry additional 4G bands. Priced at CNY 1099 ($173) for the 16GB variant and CNY 1299 ($205) for the 32GB version, the Meizu Blue Charm Metal is surely a “budget flagship killer”!
