iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are scheduled to be launched this September. Although there’s some time left in the launch, the rumor mill is already abuzz. The most important of all the rumours that had surfaced regarding the iPhone 7 Plus was a dual-camera setup.

However, the latest information from Weibo might be disappointing for many fans as it suggests that the Cupertino tech-giant is supposedly dropping the dual-camera on the iPhone 7 Plus due to some technical difficulties. If this is true, it won’t be the first time when Apple would be dropping something planned as if readers would remember, Apple had to drop the plan for Sapphire displays on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus when its primary supplier GT technologies went bankrupt in 2014.iPhone 7 Plus

We’ve already seen numerous schematics, renders, and designs showing the dual camera iPhone 7 Plus but the news that is coming for Foxconn, the primary manufacturer of Apple in the east suggests otherwise. Insiders from the company have claimed that the new feature of a dual camera won’t make it to the iPhone 7 Plus due to some technical difficulties.

We know that this news may be heartbreaking for many of the Apple fans out there as a dual camera on the upcoming iPhone 7 Plus would have been a huge upgrade. The dual-camera setup was the only major feature that was making a major difference between the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 series. However, now that the iPhone 7 Plus/Pro is not getting the dual cameras, there’s no reason to buy the 2016 iPhone, as there’s hardly anything new in this device as compared to its predecessor.

However, these are still early rumours and we would advise the readers to take it with a pinch of salt and wait till something more conclusive comes up.

We’ll keep you updated with all the latest updates in this regard, till then, stay tuned.
