Apple has got some very exciting product releases lined up this year. Firstly, it’s the iPhone 7 we are waiting for that will come out this fall, probably in September. Notebook users are waiting for the release of the MacBook Pro 2016, while rumors suggest that the MacBook Air 2016 might also be coming. So let’s collect all the major facts we know so far.
iPhone 7
Let’s talk about the iPhone 7 first. According to a new Forbes report, the iPhone 7 will be made available in a new black color. Previously, a dark blue color was said to be under development. The report also says that there will not be 16GB and 64GB storage variants this time, so all we will get are the 32/128/256GB models.
As reported by TechInsider, the iPhone 7 will be very identical to the iPhone 6s albeit a few changes including the ones mentioned above. The bigger iPhone 7 Plus/Pro model will sport dual cameras and may get a Smart Connector port as well. The 3.5mm headphone jack will be absent and the antenna stripes will be repositioned for a cleaner back. So the device may come with Lightning EarPods and may get two speakers. Other rumored features include waterproofing, wireless charging, no home button, and a larger battery.
MacBook Pro 2016
Coming to the MacBook Pro 2016, the notebook was expected to launch at the WWDC 2016 but that did not happen. Instead, latest reports say that the 2016 MacBook Pro models will be unveiled before the end of this year. The new notebooks will be slimmer and lighter than their predecessors and will carry USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3.
ChristianTimes reports that a new OLED touchscreen bar will be introduced in the Mac Pro 2016 and will replace the function keys. This display bar will show notifications and controls for the application that is running on the screen. Apart from this, new Touch ID fingerprint sensor and macOS Sierra is also expected. The MacBook Pro 2016 will be powered by Intel Skylake processors and will carry AMD’s latest Radeon RX 400 series GPUs. Some reports suggest that the MacBook Pro 2016 price could be between $1399 to $2699.
MacBook Air 2016
Finally, let’s see what we know about the MacBook Air 2016. There’s very less information available on the 2016 MacBook Air. New rumors say that the laptop could get a 5K display with a resolution of 5120 x 2880 pixels, and may be powered by specs similar to those mentioned above for the MacBook Pro 2016. Some speculations suggest that Apple might be planning to kill the Air line of devices completely. If not that, then the company may be considering to postpone the release of the next MacBook Air models to 2017. The fate of Mac Air is definitely dwindling.
So that’s basically the latest info available for the 2016 MacBook Pro and Air and the iPhone 7. We’ll be bringing you more updates soon, so stay tuned.
